Atlantic City Attractions
Atlantic City attractions aren’t limited to the mega-resorts, although they have a great deal to offer. There are many other treats in this “Queen of Resorts.” Steel Pier is a tourist attraction with a long history involving famous performances: the diving horse, a long list of star performers like W.C Fields, Benny Goodman, Mae West, the Human Cannonball, and the Miss America Pageant were all instrumental in the mystique of the Steel Pier. Today Steel Pier hosts carnival rides and a food court. The Garden Pier hosts both the Historical Museum with exhibits recounting much of this colorful city’s past, and the Art Center with the paintings, sculpture, and photography of local artists. Then there’s the Absecon Lighthouse and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum. Take a look at the selection of attractions in Atlantic City, NJ we've assembled here. |
Abecscon Lighthouse
Not too far away from the Atlantic City Boardwalk stands this tower which is one of the city's tallest landmarks reaching 171 feet high in the air. One only has to walk up a total of 240 steps to reach the lantern room for breath taking views of New Jersey. |
